SAMPLE #1 - 2020 Election w/ Asian Not Asian Podcast
There aren’t many shows on TV or the internet with Asian comedians, let alone Asian comedians talking about politics. With an Asian-American candidate in the running (Andrew Yang at the time), I wanted to produce a man-on-the-street segment where we interviewed Asian-Americans (as well as others) about the upcoming 2020 election and mine jokes from an Asian-American perspective. I wrote, produced, and edited this piece.

They say you have to find your ‘voice’ to be successful in comedy, but what if that voice has yet to be defined for your community? We invited Bowen Yang from SNL on the show to discuss his experience with Asian comedy material and his thoughts on whether or not there even is an Asian-American voice. I produced, edited, and booked this episode of Asian Not Asian Podcast.
SAMPLE #3 - Emily In Pyongyang
After reading the backlash that Emily in Paris received for lacking flavor and diversity, as well as its label as ‘ambient television’, I wanted to parody the trailer and put Emily, a basic white woman, in a more extreme environment. I wrote, filmed, and edited this for the Comedy Central TikTok page.
